Biography: American
stand up comedian Mitchell Hedberg was
most well known for his original subjects and unique style. Often in his show
he would include a string of witty one-liners that wowed the audience. Most of
Mitch's performances revolved around these one liners that can be described as
witty, clever and whimsical. Famous for his original and seemingly strange
pronunciations and topics, Mitch made a splash in the comedic industry with his
somewhat nervous yet confident stage presence. As for the early years, Mitch
Hedberg was born in Minnesota and attended Harding High School. He kick started
his career around 1989 performing at open mic nights in Florida. From there he
moved to seattle and continued his open mic performances where he gained a lot
of popularity. Believe it or not Mitch had a terrible case of stage fright, but
after a few years he came up with loads of good material and had conquered for
the most part, his stage fright.
Most
big fans of Mitch Hedberg knew he was a drug abuser, as he often made cracks at
it during his performances. In May, 2003 Hedberg was arrested and prosecuted
for possesion of an illegal substance, heroin. Born with a heart defect, some
people thought this may have been his cause of death but in May 2005 the
medical examiners stated that it was a drug overdose that caused the death of
Mitchell Hedberg. Mitch was found dead in a hotel room with his wife at the
young age of 37.
